I was a neighbor of Ruth's growing up in West Virginia. While she was a few years older than me, I saw her and her husband several times when they came to visit her parents, Elmer and Nellie. She and her husband would always stop to see my parents and to show us the babies. She was always so pleasant with a beautiful smile. My sincere sympathy to Ruth's family.

I loved Mrs. Hughes! I have such fond memories of her and Mr. Hughes when I was young and would go to Cindy's. I remember looking forward to eating supper always with them because she was such a great cook. To this day when I think of fried chicken, I picture Mrs. Hughes chicken! Their home was such a comfortable place to go to and now looking back you realized it was her and Mr. Hughes who made it that way. I can still hear her calling up the stairs for Cindy to get up for church. Even though I have not seen her for years and years, I am so sorry for your loss because she was definitely a one and only beautiful person! Marlene
