Nina J. Leib

Nina Leib, 76, of Green went home to be with our Lord, surrounded by her family, on January 14, 2017, after a lengthy illness.  She was born January 13, 1941 in Akron to the late Jorgon Nelsen and Mildred (Gerald) Elliott.  She attended Central High School and retired from both Landmark Plastics and Walmart.      

Nina was the cherished wife of Ken Leib for almost 60 years; loving mother to John (Alice Nestor) Leib and Ginger (David) Miller; treasured grandmother to Jennifer (Chris) Jones, Teanna (Joe Stallard) Leib and Michael (Mikayla Rogazione) Chapman.  She had 7 great grandchildren with #8 coming in July.  She also leaves behind brothers, John (Beverly) and Eric (Karen) Nelsen; sister, Nancy (Don) Lounds; beloved fur-baby, Susie; as well as many other loving family and friends.             

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with Mr. Kelly Julian officiating.  Family and friends may call on Thursday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made in Nina’s name to Summa Hospice, C/O Summa Foundation, P O Box 2090, Akron, Ohio 44398-6153.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
