Gary, Debbie, Pam and the Norris Family
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Oh my gosh, she was the sweetest woman I ever met. I don't think she ever said anything bad about anyone and if she did she would lower her voice to the point you couldn't hear her anyway. She was my mom's best friend for over 50 years. My mom used to sit in the kitchen and talk on the phone for hours with her. I saw her last fall as Gary and her sat in the car at a granddaughters soccer game...we talked and talked and talked...well at least Lois did. Such a huge loss for all those that knew her...which was most of Portage Lakes. You all are in my prayers, I'll miss her dearly too.

Pam (& Bob and Family ) –
We want to express our most sincere condolences with the passing of your Mother. Losing a loved one is always difficult, but the loss of a parent is a loss that flows deep - to the core of a child’s being and the source of so much love & devotion. Your mother gave you life, but she also made possible life’s most precious gift – allowing you to give life to your own children, and now your children to their own. May the fond memories of your mother, and her most precious gifts to you & yours, provide you solace in the days and years ahead.

I was so sorry to read about Lois. I had the pleasure of giving her her IV once a month for four years. I got to know her and learned about her family, whom she loved and was so proud of. I admired her perserverence and how she coped with illness. She always made me and others in the room happy to be sharing the experience. I am sure you will miss her dearly. I really enjoyed her.

When I think of Lois Norris my mind immediately flashes up a picture of her standing at the door with it open and her laughing and welcoming us in. She liked having the "kids" hang out at her house to share stories and good times. She knew everybody and usually had more scoop on our friends than we did. She and Gary provided a fun, safe place for all the kids to come and enjoy without feeling like we were being "watched" by parents. Even as recent as a couple years ago, I visited and the feeling was exactly the same. Portage Lakes won't be the same without her.

Thank you so much, Cindy. We did have some great times growing up in the neighborhood. You and your family were a big part of that, too.

Love ya!
