Juanita Smith, 90, passed away January 12, 2017.  She was born December 23, 1926 to the late Earl and Pearl Bryan.  Juanita was a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church where she was lovingly known as “Precious”.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, of 55 years, Daniel; 3 brothers and 1 sister.  She is survived by daughters, Charlotte (Michael) Peets, Elaine (Bob) Haasz, Gina (Roger) Weitzel and Carrol Sturm; son, Dan (Claudia) Smith; grandchildren, Michael (Monica) Peets, Jr., Robert (Angie) Haasz, Jr., Jennifer (Kevin) O'Keefe, Holly Most, Amy (Todd) Gedeon, Julie (Andy) Harrison, Becky (Terry) Grunwald, Jimmy (Rachel) Regallis, Steve (Katreena) Sturm, Ben (Lindsey) Regallis, Joy (Aaron) Neidert, and Daniel Smith; great-grandchildren, Savannah Hickman, Malorie Most, Jason Peets, Robert Haasz, Grant Grunwald, Josie Peets, Stephanie Most, Hunter Grunwald, Sophia Grunwald, Sylena Sturm, Tyler Sturm, Tony Gedeon, and one on the way, Harbour Neidert as well as many other loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church, 740 N. Firestone Blvd., Akron, Ohio 44306 with Pastor Robert Stephens officiating.  Family and friends may call on Monday from 9:30 until the time of the service at the church.  Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Juanita’s name to the church.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
