Debbie was our first babysitter when we were neighbors in Green. I later learned that she had become a teacher in the Green Schools. My daughter had many friends that had Debbie as their teacher and expressed nothing but praise for her.

Our daughters, Tara and Kara, became good friends in high school.

My sympathies to all of your families. She was a great mother, teacher and friend.

With sympathy,

Jennie Williams

I am extremely sorry for the loss of this wonderful teacher and woman. Mrs. Rayl played a key role in transforming me from a subpar, uninterested young science student into the woman who left college with a degree in Biochemistry. She worked so hard with me on a personal and professional level to ignite my scientific passion, and I am grateful beyond measure. I will forever treasure my memories and time with her - I would not be where I am today without her guidance and help. My sympathies and regards to her friends and loved ones.

I am very saddened to hear about Debbie's passing. My heartfelt prayers and condolences to all her family. I have a special place for memories of our school years together and after. In later years we would meet at events in Green and remember our past "adventures" and catch up on current stuff. Of all places we met a few years ago at pulmonary therapy. I know Debbie will be missed by all who knew her.
Rest in peace, Debbie and God bless.
Love,
Heidi (Lamb) Kovach

Sorry to hear of your loss. When you have great mom, sometimes it seems like you share her with the world. I think that can be hard, but at least everyone was able to see what a great treasure she is to you.

I was so shocked and sad to read about Debbie's passing. We were the best of buds after high school with many memories including sharing my first apartment and taking a camping trip to Oakracoke Island thanks to your family trips there. She loved her family and truly was a sincere girl who knew how to live. I was so surprised to find out she taught at Green when I moved back to Green from living in CA 30 years. My daughter was dating a guy who told me his favorite teacher was Debbie! I'm sending many prayers and condolences to her family.

I am so sorry to hear of your family's loss. I haven't seen Debbie since high school, but remember her as a well-known, very well-liked and active member of our class. She was wonderful. May the many fond memories and respect for Debbie help to, over time, to ease the pain of your loss.

I'm so sorry to see the posting of Debbie's passing. I worked with her when I did technology at the Intermediate school. She was always friendly and kind to help when I asked. A smile was on her face no matter what was going on in her life. You are in my prayers for peace.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mrs. Rayl's passing! She was one of my favorite teachers, and is extra special to me, since she was my first teacher when I moved to Green. She also lived down the street from us until we moved away when I graduated from high school - and I always thought she was so cool! Such a smart, funny, wonderful teacher and person. She will be missed! My thoughts are with her family during this time!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I was good friends with Debbie all through school since the 2nd grade. As years passed we lost touch and I hated that that happened. She was always a very special friend back in the day. Always good times in High School. I'm sure she will be missed by so many people. I am out of the country at this time and hate that I will not be there at her service.
