Victoria Cavill Obituary

Victoria Cavill, 70, passed away on September 14, 2022.  She was born on February 16, 1952, in Akron to Alma Lake and the late Chuck Lake.

Victoria was a force of nature that pulled everyone in her path.  She loved music, her Westies, good food and friends, researching family ancestry, making endless lists with her innumerable collection of colored pens, and accidentally creating heretofore unknown words and phrases.

She could build a business from the ground up, paint beautifully, play a mean hand of euchre, and cook everything from comfort food to grand dinners.  She was passionate and loved fiercely.  Despite her typical Midwestern background, she became a world traveler and wouldn’t hesitate to share stories of her outrageous adventures with anyone, including complete strangers.  Those who loved her will miss her dearly, but we are all richer for having known her, and our memories of her will provide us joy for the rest of our lives.

Besides her dad, Victoria was preceded in death by her infant son, Jimmy.  She is survived by her loving husband, Bryan Cavill; daughter, Stacia Cavill; brothers, Jeff (Katie) and Steve Lake; as well as many other loving friends and family.

Per Victoria’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of a life well lived will occur at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Victoria’s name to Save the Manatee Club, 533 Versailles Drive, STE 100, Maitland, Florida 32751, Attn: Donations or online at www.savethemanatee.org/donate To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
