Timothy Semelsberger Obituary

Tim Semelsberger, 52, of Coventry Township passed away unexpectedly October 18, 2021.

Tim was born with many talents. He was a brilliantly gifted musician. As a young child, Tim could listen to a song and then play it by ear on drums, piano and eventually on the guitar. He was well known locally as “The Drummer” for several bands including Fantasia, Damage Inc., Brainicide, US Metal, Angered Orchestra and, of course, Peace Tree.

Tim was also a talented artist and loved to sketch. He expressed his emotions through his art. He had a special way of connecting you with his heart, whether he was feeling happiness, silliness, healing or depression. His creative mind never rested, and his feet never stopped tapping to his own beat.

Tim will always be remembered for his humor and quick, witty remarks. With his infectious smile and hilarious spirit, he could evoke a belly laugh at just the right time.

Tim loved kids and was a kid at heart. At gatherings with friends and family, kids gravitated to him. You could always count on Tim to entertain the kids with pool games, magic, card tricks, and silly antics.

Tim carried everyone’s emotions as if they were his own. He was quite a hugger and would finish his hug with a quick kiss on your head. His passion for life drew people to him. He fostered many enduring friendships throughout his lifetime.

Tim’s greatest achievement in life was being a father to his son Sabian.  Sabian was the love of his life. Tim loved to coach Sabian and his friends in baseball, basketball and football. He always said that he never wanted Sabian to grow up but, if he did, he was going to go to college with him and then move wherever Sabian wound up in life. Tim’s pride and love for Sabian was visible every time he mentioned his son’s name. He will always remain at Sabian’s side and in his heart.

The family hopes that you have happy and fun memories of Tim. He struggled but never gave up.

Tim is survived by his son, Sabian (Law) Semelsberger ; mother, Cathy Longstreth; sister, Tammy Semelsberger; nephew, Grayson Maly; father, Timothy Semelsberger; cousins, Angie, Andrea and Michael; Aunt Lynn; Gary Erhard; Greg Redovian; Toni Haneberg; Sabian’s brother, Drake Skipper, and many, many close friends. Tim is also survived by his faithful companion that never left his side, his dog, D.O.G (pronounced Dee Oh Gee). He is preceded in death by his Uncle Greg and Aunt Sockie.
