Thomas DiGiroloma, Jr.

Tom DiGiroloma, Jr., 71, passed away on May 6, 2022.  He was born July 6, 1950 in Akron to the late Thomas, Sr. and Ann DiGiroloma.  Tom was a Navy Combat Veteran that did two tours in Vietnam.  Tom loved spending time with his family.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and taking them golfing. 

Besides his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph.  He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Cheryl; sons, Thomas III (Julie) and Anthony (Missy); grandsons, Vincenzo and Francesco; sister, Patricia (Robert) Smoley; as well as many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown Street, Akron, Ohio 44301 with Fr. Matthew Pfeiffer officiating.  Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 3:30 to 6:30 P.M. at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.  Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made in Tom’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to Summa Health Foundation, Summa Hospice, P.O.
