Theodore "Ted" Stefanov

Ted Stefanov, 85, passed away on September 19, 2022.  He was born in Akron on February 21, 1937, to the late Joseph and Ann Stefanov. 

Ted was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He attended hundreds of his grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities and always made each of his four grandchildren feel special.

Ted’s lasting legacy is his love of family, passion for sports, and love of vacationing. His competitive spirit and zest for life will live on through his children and grandchildren. He is now happily united with his loving wife, Vicki. 

Along with his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Vicki, and brothers, Jerry and William.  He is survived by his sons, Ted (Kelly) and Larry (Karrie) Stefanov; grandchildren, Jessica, Taylor (Tyler), Amanda (John), and Kurtis (Brooke); five great-grandchildren; brother, Albert (Carol) Stefanov; sister, MaryAnn Fox; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 with Pastor Steve Vesolich officiating.  Family and friends may call on Friday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at East Liberty Cemetery.  To leave a special message for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
