Susan M. (Burns) Miller

Sue Miller, 71 of Green passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on February 16, 2021.  She was born June 16, 1949 to the late Thomas and Frances Burns.  Sue grew up in Portage Lakes and lived locally her entire life.  She was a 1967 graduate of Coventry High School.  Sue became a mother to her younger siblings at the young age of 16, when her mother died of cancer. This began a lifelong journey for her to care for all those that she loved. 

Sue was a loving and caring wife, tender and patient mother, and generous and fun grandma. To all that were fortunate enough to be a part of her life, she showed unconditional love and was always willing to provide kind words and support.  Her strength came from her belief in Jesus Christ her savior.  Her favorite times were spent when she was with her entire family.  She lived for her family.

Besides her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Jerry; son, Gerald and grandson, Ryan.  She is survived by her sons, Jody and Jason (Eva) Miller; daughters, Kim (John) Anderson, Andria (Jason) Presutto, and Michelle (Mike) Lyons; grandchildren, Paul Gabelman, Joshua and Lauryn Anderson, Ellise and Nicolas Presutto, Ella, Lily, and Emily Lyons, Nathan, Nolan, and Nicholas Miller; and great-granddaughter, Rilynn Myers; as well as many other family and friends. 

The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Debbie Schiller for her help in providing care and support. 

A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M. on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 (SR619) with Pastor Cary Duckett officiating.  Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home where social distancing and health protocol (i.e. wearing of face covering, staying 6 feet apart, no handshakes or hugs) will be followed.  If you are sick or do not wish to attend, we understand, and all love and prayers will be accepted by visiting our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
