Stanley "Wayne" W. Bond

Wayne Bond, 60, passed away December 13, 2020.  He was born July 28, 1960 in Akron. He worked in the HVAC trade for 25 plus years and was well respected for his knowledge of the trade. In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed watching Netflix as well as sipping on Crown Royal. Please feel free to share in a toast to honor him. 

Wayne always looked up to his Uncle Roger Himes as a father figure. They truly were the best of friends.  Wayne was a very kind, generous, hardworking and selfless person and will be greatly missed by so many.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, James Bond.  He is survived by his loving wife, Katrinka; son, Jeremy; mother, Wilma; stepson, Jim (Amy) Farmer; stepdaughter, Chelsea (Nick) Lucik; sister, Sandy Young; grandchildren, Alex (Claire), Nick, Jesse and Owen; great granddaughter, Nora Joe; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319.  Family and friends may call on Thursday from 1 to 3 P.M. or 4:30 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home where social distancing and health protocol (i.e. wearing of face covering, staying 6 feet apart, no handshakes or hugs) will be followed.  Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made in Wayne’s name to the American Lung Association, 5755 Granger Road #905, Independence, Ohio 44131-1461.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
