Ron Savoia, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 16, 2022. He was born March 26, 1937, in Copley to the late Rudy and Anne Savoia and attended Copley High School where he was an all-sports athlete.
Ron was a U.S. Army Veteran and followed his father’s footsteps owning a concrete, tile, marble, and terrazzo business for over fifty years. Ron enjoyed life to the fullest. His passions included traveling, boating, golfing, and watching sports.
Ron is survived by his wife of 45 years, Phyllis (Ake) Savoia; daughter, Cindy Cooper; son, Dan (Sandy) Russell; grandchildren, Felicia (Nick) Mastaso, Scott (Julie) Cooper, Aubrey, Taylor, and Connor Russell; great-grandchildren, Aidan and Natalie Mastaso; brother, Larry (Barbara) Savoia; sister, Beverly (Larry) Schelcher; brother-in-law, Dennis Ake; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Per Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of a well-lived life will be held from 1 to 4 P.M. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club, 4551 Dusty’s Road, New Franklin, Ohio 44319.
