Robert J. "Rob" Lawrence

Rob Lawrence, 47, passed away on May 11, 2023. He was born on April 18, 1976, in Akron, growing up in the Stow area. 

Rob was a loving husband and father who worked so hard to provide for his family. He loved being a fireman, working for the Coventry Fire Department for a total of 26 years. He started out Part Time in October 1997, became Full Time in September 1999, and was promoted to Lieutenant in March 2020. He was also the owner of Prestige Home Inspections that he started in 2006.

Rob loved hunting and riding 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, and the Yamaha Wolverine with the boys and teaching them everything he knew about fixing all the “toys” in our barn. Our frequent trips to the property in West Virginia were always one of the best places for the family and friends to laugh, have fun and make memories.

Rob is preceded in death by his mom, Pamella Sampson.  He is survived by his wife, Mindy (Buchanan) Lawrence; sons, Jordan and Gavin Lawrence; stepdad, Michael Sampson; father and mother-in-law, Buck (Glenda) Buchanan; brother-in-law, Bryan (Leslie) Buchanan; as well as countless friends.

Rob was loved by so many.  A good man gone way too soon.

Funeral service will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E.
