Robert "Bob" M. Bodosi

Robert Bodosi, 78, of New Franklin, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and veteran passed away July 5, 2021. May he rest forever in God’s care. He was born October 31, 1942 in Akron to the late Esther (nee Steiner) and Dan Bodosi.

Robert was a graduate of the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Always an honorable man, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard, Corps of Engineers. He worked for Saint Gobain and retired after 37 years. Bob and his wife Barb are members of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Akron.

Robert loved the sky, becoming a small aircraft pilot and a hot air balloon team member. He was dedicated to his collection of cars and with his vast knowledge, helped many others restore and preserve automobile history.

Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death very recently, by his twin brother Roger Bodosi. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Barbara; son, Joseph Bodosi, grandson, Jacob; sister-in-law Fleeta Bodosi; brother, Rodney (Teresa) Bodosi; niece, Kimberly (Michael) Adkins with their children Devin and Amanda; and nephew Randy (Sara) Bodosi. Robert will be greatly missed by his loving family along with his CoCo and GiGi.

Funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319.
