Randy Meadows, 73, of Green passed away on July 30, 2022. He was born in Martins Ferry on August 1, 1948, to the late Kenneth and Betty Meadows. Randy was a 1966 graduate of Green High School and retired in 1998 after a 30+ year career with General Motors Corporation at multiple plants in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, primitive camping, and golf. Randy’s lifetime memberships included the NRA, NMLRA, and Briar Hill Hunting Club with current memberships at the Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club, American Legion, Eagles, and Jenota Club.
Besides his parents, Randy was preceded in death by an infant son and brothers, Kenneth and Stanford Meadows. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce Meadows; sons, Randy G. Jr. (Barbara) and Richard (Mary) Meadows; grandchildren, Randy L, Raymond, and Bradyn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Per Randy’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 6 P.M. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 with Pastor John Henniger officiating. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:30 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Following the service, a memorial dinner will be held at the Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club, 4551 Dustys Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.
