Phyllis "Ruth" (Hoskins) Schuckert

Ruth Schuckert, 93, of Green passed away November 29, 2020.  She was born September 26, 1927 in Molehill, West Virginia to the late Robert and Loretta Hoskins.

Ruth met her husband while visiting her sister in Akron. They were married for 53 years until Frank’s passing in March of 2000. Ruth was a dedicated wife and mother. She always worked hard in the home to make her family comfortable.  Ruth was quick to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She was generous and very kindhearted. She loved that she was a mother of twins. She was always proud of her West Virginia Heritage.  She had a great respect for veterans and was a member of Firestone VFW Auxiliary #3383 for 73 years. She attended the Greensburg Church of God for many years until age and a hearing disability made it difficult.

Ruth loved to play Bingo and was quite lucky at it. One night she hit the jackpot and when she got home she discovered she had hit the 3-digit lottery that night too. If Ruth entered her name in a drawing or give away, she won more times than not.

Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, Randall; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.  She is survived by her son, Roger Schuckert (Linda); daughters, Wanda Schuckert (John Springer) and Marsha Busson (Gary); 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren with the 8th one on the way.  Ruth is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd.
