Patrick R. Manion

Pat Manion, 87, passed away on June 11, 2023. He was born in Akron to the late Thomas and Dorothy Manion.  Pat was a 1953 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and he served in the US Army.     

Pat was a member of the I.B.E.W. Electricians Local 306 for many years and retired as the Assistant Business Manager and was a lifetime member of the Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club. Pat spent the past 20 years enjoying his retirement in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Besides his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his wife Edna (Beckett) Manion; sons, Patrick T and Michael Manion; brother, James Manion, and sister, Helen (Tyke) Shiplett. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Manion, Shelly Ryckman, Rena (Jon) Treharne, and Laura Austin; grandchildren, Brandi, Kyle (Neftail), David, and Valerie; 3 great-grandchildren; special friends, Randy, Claudia, and Donna Wagner in FL; as well as many other family and friends.

Per Pat’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment will take place at Holy Cross. A celebration of Pat’s life will take place on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 12 to 3 P.M. at the Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club, 4551 Dusty’s Road, New Franklin, Ohio 44319. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pat’s name to the Akron Area Electrical JATC, 2650 S.
