Pat Hartline, 71, passed away on July 18, 2023. She was born March 13, 1952, in Akron to the late Paul and Georgia Carr. Pat was a 1970 graduate of Green High School and worked for FedEx Custom Critical, retiring in 2010. She helped with many charities including Meals on Wheels. Pat was also a member of the PCA Eastern Buckeye Region and loved to autocross.
Besides her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hartline, brother, Kenny Carr; sisters, Maxine Miller and Ilene Matheny and stepson, Donnie Hartline. She is survived by her special friend, Rick Selzer who was an amazing partner; stepson, Michael (Debbie) Hartline; grandchildren, Lyndsey (Justin) Witzberger and Billy Hartline; great-grandchildren, Brandin, Adalynn, Raylyn, and Sawyer; brother, Ron (Constance) Carr; as well as so many special nieces, nephews too numerous to mention.
Pat had many special friends including her lifelong friend, Karen Kindel who was always there for her. She loved to travel with Doug and Faye Bradley, Rose Marie and Mike Shell, Cherie Jackson, Carol and Fred Smith, Don and Sue Spear, Warren and Carol, Kathy West, James and Judy and so many others.
A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319. Family and friends may call on Monday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at East Liberty Cemetery.
