Nora B. (Grimm) Cercone

Nora Cercone, 83, passed away on October 11, 2023.  She was born on March 17, 1940, in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Clarence Ellsworth and Clara Irene Grimm.  Nora was a graduate of Wellsburg High School where she met the love of her life, Vince Cercone, and married right after.  Nora moved to Dover Ohio when Vince took a job with GTE.  They raised their family in Dover, moved to Green in the early 1970s, and remained a resident until passing. 

After Vince passed in 1987, Nora began working for the American Red Cross where she would work with companies in Summit County to set up blood donation drives.  She took great pride in her job and helping others.  After her retirement, Nora enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Besides her parents and husband, Nora was preceded in death by her son, Bob Cercone, and her 4 siblings.  She is survived by her son, Dan Cercone; grandchildren, Anthony, Cailey Jo, Jenny, Alex, Zac, and Dominic; 6 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Pam Cercone; fur-baby and constant companion, Charlie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Per Nora’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private family graveside service will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, Nora would love it if you would make memorial contributions in her name to a pet charity of your choice.  Nora wants to make sure all the animals out there are being taken care of and loved as much as she loves her little Charlie.  To leave a special message for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
