Lois Wellock, 89, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2018. She was born to the late Joseph and Bertha Junker on May 10, 1929 and lived in the beautiful Portage Lakes area her whole life. Lois was a 1947 graduate of Coventry High School. She enjoyed her many, many years of being the head majorette at Erwine and Coventry. Give her any kind of stick and she could give it a twirl.
Lois was a loving wife and proud mother of four children. She is survived by her husband, John, who would never miss a chance to say “I Love You” and send her those pink roses from Kiwanis. Mom is now with her son, Tom, who passed away in 1986. She has missed him dearly every day. She is survived by her three kids; Jean (Ron) Hodges, Bill (Tammy) Wellock, Jan (Rick) Todd. She enjoyed Bill’s calls and voice from Nevada. Jean and Jan were her “angels” – Jean the well-behaved angel and Jan the ornery angel. We will miss her wonderful laughter, wit and of course her ways of letting us know who the “boss” was. Lois was blessed with six grandsons, Joe, Rob, Ben, Brian, Derek and Jacob; and 3 great-grandchildren, Joey, Claire, and Jackson. She is now with her beautiful grand-daughter, Jennifer, who passed away in 1984.
“I’m Fine!”
