Lawrence "Dub" Snyder

Dub Snyder, 91, passed away April 23, 2018.  He was born June 27, 1926 in Barberton to the late Irvin and Nellie Snyder.  Dub proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII, retired from Diamond Crystal Salt, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.    

Besides his parents, Dub was preceded in death by his sisters, Eleanor Kaplan and Fran Windecker.  He is survived by his loving wife, of 64 years, Peggy; brother-in-law, Doyle Baird, Sr.; nieces and nephews, Doyle, Jr. (Jenna), Derek (Jessica), Daryl (Amy),  Andrea (Jeff), Billy (Patty) and Beverly; faithful companion, Moe; as well as many other loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319.  Family and friends may call on Friday from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Entombment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
