Larry B. Midcap

Larry Midcap, 72, of Akron passed away October 19, 2021.  Larry was born November 18, 1948 in Barberton to the late Joseph and Beulah Midcap.  Larry was a 1966 graduate of Kenmore High School and he retired from Local Union 219 as a union pipefitter. 

Larry enjoyed watching Nascar races, finding new recipes to try and an occasional Bud Light or two.  He also liked tinkering with cars and chatting with the neighbors during his frequent walks with Rascal.  Larry had a quirky sense of humor and was one of a kind; he will be missed by all who knew him.

Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Midcap.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marlene; daughter, Shannon (Scott) Testa; daughter-in-law, Susan Rampa-Midcap; grandchildren, Nathan, Allison, Haley Testa and Sami Rampa; great grandsons, Kadyn and Levi; brothers, Jim (Patty), Randy (Valerie) and Tom (Sandy) Midcap; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 6 P.M. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E.
