Kenny Taylor, 87, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family on February 19, 2022. He was born May 15, 1934, in New Matamoras, Ohio to the late Howard and Ethel (Rouse) Taylor.
Kenny was a wonderful man. A long-time member of the Church of the Nazarene, he loved the Lord and his life reflected that love. Kenny was devoted to his beautiful wife, Hazel. She was the love of his life, and he was her hero. He loved his family and delighted in being with all his children and grandchildren. Known for his twinkling eyes and mischievous smile, Kenny loved to tease everyone. He was accepting of all; everyone was welcome in his home. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, a rousing game of euchre, Christmas, and gospel music. He was a man of quiet strength and valued hard work, a simple lifestyle, and honesty. He was deeply loved as a husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. While he will be dearly missed, we rejoice that he is now healthy and whole in the presence of Jesus.
Along with his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by brothers, Richard, John, and David Taylor; sisters, Delores Phillips, Phyllis Morsheiser, and Betty Alcorn; and grandson, Davey Schilling. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Hazel (Carr) Taylor; children; Karla (Dave) Schilling, Kenneth (Beth) Taylor, Karen (Ralph) McLaughlin, Marilyn (Sam) Galioto, Duane (Laura) Taylor, and Phillip Taylor, and; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Donna (Bob) Shane and Carolyn Sue Taylor; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care for Kenny and our family during these difficult days
