Keith Arden Poling

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Keith Poling on July 14, 2019. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and devoted husband. Keith had a gentle, loving, caring, and compassionate soul who left a permanent mark on all our hearts.  He enjoyed camping, sitting around a fire with family and friends telling old stories. He had a passion for hunting and enjoyed having his family and nephew join him. 

If anyone asked Keith for help, there was never a job too large or too small that he would not tackle. He was someone you could always count on. Keith was wise beyond his years and was such a strong foundation for his family.  He loved his family; his son was his best friend and his daughter was his rock. He instilled in them his wisdom and strong old-school values that will continue to be passed down to the grandchildren.

Keith cherished his role as a grandfather and took extreme pride in his grandson, Mason, whom he taught to do his first wheelie on a 4-wheeler.  He also taught him how to plant a garden and was always at his t-ball games to cheer him on.

Keith is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Sarah (Todd) Few and Heith Poling; grandchildren, Mason and Liam Few; sisters, Jenifer (Randy) Conner and Myra (Danny) McFarling; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Let's not forget Keith’s signature look which consisted of jeans, a button-up plaid shirt with a tank top underneath, baseball cap and a Pepsi can in his hand.  That look that will bring a smile to the face of everyone who knew him. He will be forever in our hearts and remembered by his caring heart, loving embrace, deep soothing voice, and unconditional love.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 P.M. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club, 4551 Dustys Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.  Memorial contributions can be made in Keith’s name to a charity of your choice.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
