John Yaros, 66, passed away on October 31, 2022. He was born in Akron on September 29, 1956, to the late Walter and Patricia Yaros.
John was a devoted husband, father, and true friend. He was happiest around water, especially fishing with family and friends. He and his wife, Patty were able to spend many vacations together at their favorite beach. He loved to spend time camping and boating with his family when his children were young, and no one could fold a tent as precisely as he could. As a grandfather, he was often found reading books to his grandchildren or napping with them in his chair. His grandchildren enjoyed heated games of “Uno” with “Papa” and “Nana.” He spent decades as an employee of Yellow Freight/YRC Freight. As a truck driver, he worked hard to support his family. This occupation also lent him many hours to talk and connect with his many friends and family members. He treasured his conversations and relationships with so many and never took them for granted.
Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Wally Yaros, and sister, Patty Ann Harris. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia Yaros; daughters, Emily (Drew) Axline, Katie (John) Murphy, Stacey Moore, and Lisa (Daniel Cucuz) Yaros; grandchildren, Mae, Henery, Nora, Rose, and Anne Axline, Ryan, Claire, and Amelia Murphy, Ava, Alina, and Addy Moore, Penny and Jude Cucuz; brothers, Steve (Laura) Yaros; Robert (Jeanne) Eshelman and Bill (Amy) Eshelman; sister, Betty Jean (Jeff) Hastings; sister-in-law, Sandy Thompson; brother-in-law, Carl Harris; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
