Joan Lyn (Meredith) Hale

Joan Hale, 74, passed away on September 13, 2023.  She was born on March 4, 1949, in Akron to the late Lester and Louerna Meredith.  Joan graduated from Green High School in 1967. On April 5, 1969, she married the love of her life, Alan Hale, and were married for 53 years. Joan first worked for Firestone until she was laid off. Joan then went on to work for Walmart for 27 years. Joan was a lifetime member of Gospel Assembly Church in Green, Ohio.

Along with her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Alan, and son, Mark.  She is survived by her daughter, Martha (Don) Stonaker; grandsons, Evan and Hudson Hale; granddaughter, Chloe Stonaker; sisters, Bonnie (Gene) White and Joyce (John) Hampsey; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Gospel Assembly, 2535 Wise Road, North Canton, Ohio 44720.  Family and friends may call on Saturday from NOON until the time of the service at the church.  A private family interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Joan’s name to the church building fund, Gospel Assembly Church, P.O.
