James Roscoe Pace

James Pace, 81, formerly of Akron, passed away on October 19, 2023, in Apple Valley, California.  James proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force for over 40 years both as an enlisted officer and as a civilian employee.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Doris Pace, and sister Nancy Blumenthaler.  He is survived by his sons, David and Michael (Brandi) Pace; grandchildren, Melanie (Emerson) Watanabe, Jacquelyn (Joe) Schafer, Corianton (Leslie) Pace, Meagan (Chris) Merandino, and Danielle Pace; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as many other loving family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Road, Akron, Ohio 44320 where military honors will be performed.  There will not be any services at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in James’ name to the charity of your choice.  To leave a special message for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
