Jack Ling, II Obituary

Jack Ling, 58, passed away June 12, 2021.  He was born September 20, 1962 in Barberton to Jack and Haroldean Ling.

Jack was a man of many interests. Whether it was Ohio State Football, spending time with his many friends, or watching anyone race anything with wheels; Jack could be found with his son enjoying it. No matter where Jack was, you could always bet he was either with his son, Zack, or on his way to see him. Jack lived for his son and loved him more than anything; father and son were inseparable and did everything together. He loved his family with everything he had and would always go out of his way to help anyone in need. His home served as a place of respite for anyone in the neighborhood; people always stopping by to visit or lay their head if they had nowhere to go. His commitment to all of those he loved will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. His family finds solace in that they still have the largest piece of Jack, his beloved son Zack.

Besides his parents, Jack is survived by his son Zack (Tiffany Wilson) Ling; brother Matt (Michelle) Ling; nephews, Matt (Devyn Vence) and Noah (Meghan Elridge) Ling; many extended family members and friends that are too many to count and more like family.

Per Jack’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of a life well lived will take place at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to the Make a Wish Foundation, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana Chapter, 2545 Farmers Drive, Suite 300, Columbus, Ohio 43235.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
