Ival Stewart Wilson

Ival S. Wilson, 87, passed away on April 19, 2022, at home, as he had wanted. 

Ival loved to laugh, was quick to comfort anyone he knew who was suffering, especially with food, and treasured his family. Ival loved West Virginia, hunting, golfing, telling bad jokes while doing both, gardening, and keeping an immaculate yard. He devoted his life to the care of his family, who are forever grateful to have had that privilege.

Preceded in death by his adoring mother and father, Goldie and Veryl Wilson, Ival leaves many broken hearts in his absence, as his presence was a big one.  He is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years, Marilyn; daughters, Robin (Jim) Clark and Kelly (Dan) Linger; grandchildren, Morgan (Jared) Zollars, Nathan Linger (Laura Perlman, fiancee), Alaina and Natalie Clark; many longtime friends and cousins, and numerous squirrels, grouse, and deer that will survive future hunting seasons. 

The family extends deepest thanks to the Green paramedics who took care of him more times than he wanted, and whose compassion was so comforting. 

Funeral service will be held at NOON on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.  Family and friends may call on Saturday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the G.T.V.F.D, Green Fire Department, P.O.
