Gloria Jean (Siegenthaler) Brown

Gloria Brown, 77, of Green, passed away peacefully from vascular dementia on June 25, 2021. Gloria was born on August 12, 1943, to the late Wesley and Nina Siegenthaler. She was an elementary school teacher for Green Local Schools until her retirement in 2007. She also held a Master’s Degree in Counseling.

Gloria enjoyed tending her flowers, sewing, ceramics and laughing with her siblings at family outings. She loved entertaining and hosting many extended family holidays when her children were young. She spent time watching the Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center, dancing and socializing with friends.

Besides her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Sharrock; brothers-in-law, William Evans and Del Haefka.  She is survived by her daughter, Terri Brown; son and his wife, Larry L. and Mary Beth Brown; granddaughter, Maggie Maria Brown; brother, Wesley “Bud” Siegenthaler; sisters, Pearl Haefka and Faye Evans.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Cindi, Mandy, Ashley, Zoey and the staff at Hudson Grande Senior Living; Dr. David Anstadt; and Molly, Chris and Beth at Traditions Hospice for their kind, selfless and compassionate care of our Mom.

Per Gloria’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gloria’s name to the American Heart Association, P.O.
