Fredric Merchant Obituary

Fred Merchant, 81, passed away on March 16, 2024. He was born in Ayer, Massachusetts on June 9, 1942, to the late Robert and Muriel Merchant. Fredric proudly served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Summit County Department of Environmental Services with 29 years of service

Along with his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brother, Douglass Merchant. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Shirley Merchant; son, Michael Merchant; daughter, Robin (Duane) Smith; grandchildren, Adam and Boston (Beatriz) Hock; sisters, Shirley Straw and Ann (Hakan) Persson; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
