Eve Marlene (Brinkley) Stone

Eve Stone, 72, passed away January 6, 2021 at home from Covid-19.  She was born August 17, 1948 in Akron to Eva and the late Dean Brinkley.

Whether it was photography, making puppets for her husband’s puppet shows, writing children’s stories, working, or being a mother and grandmother, she put all her passion into everything she did.  She loved watching birds and other wildlife. Always keeping a buffet for her birds with 10 plus birdfeeders, food for the squirrels, and a saltlick for the deer.  She saw the world differently, which let her see the beauty in simple things, like a straw hat hanging on a barn door, an old abandoned building, or a lone tree in a field.  She always cared deeply about others and tried to help those that needed it, whether that meant opening her home to someone, donating money, clothes/school supplies, or even providing a meal to someone.  Eve had a beautiful, kind, creative soul that will be deeply missed by those that knew her.  Although she has left us, she has rejoined her husband of 50 years.

Besides her dad, Eve was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, David Stone.  She is survived by her daughter, Erin (Vincent) Marbais; grandson, Dante; sister, Becky (Kenneth) Green; brother, Dean “Skip” Brinkley; nephew, Jason; as well as many friends.
