Edward "Ed" F. Ziss

Ed Ziss, 68, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife by his side, on March 14, 2022.  He was born October 25, 1953, in Cleveland to the late Edward A. and Irene Ziss. Ed owned and operated Ziss Products and worked on refurbishing fire trucks and ambulances.  He also enjoyed restoring classic cars and muscle cars.  Ed was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson; he loved his church family and friends. 

Besides his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Ziss; brother, Joe Ziss and sister-in-law, Dian Yeager.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Joy Ziss; son, Eddie (Sarah) Ziss; grandchildren, Tyler, Zach, and Elaina Ziss; sisters-in-law, Sherry Whittington, Sandy (Chuck) Dlugos, and Marlene Ziss; brother-in-law, Jewel Yeager; as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Jackson, 8952 Strausser Street NW, Massillon, Ohio 44646 with Pastor Tom Gang officiating.  Family and friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.  A private family inurnment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Richfield at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made in Ed’s name to the church.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
