Earl E. Martindill

Earl Martindill, 84, passed away December 26, 2021.  He was born January 30, 1937 in Washington Courthouse, Ohio to the late Ernest and Marie Martindill. He was retired from Schneller Manufacturing.

Earl loved playing cards, especially when he won. He looked forward to spending time with family and friends, as well as, doing leisurely occasional fishing, riding and tinkering with his tractors. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need. 

Besides his parents, Earl was preceded in death by children, Kimberly Foncannon, Howard Marks, Jr., and Angela Marks; granddaughter, AnnaMarie Martindill; brothers, Alvin, Glenn, Russell and Thomas Martindill; sisters, Helen Haines, Margaret Rohyer, Frances Starkey, Patricia Gaines and Clarice Black.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Patricia; son, Earl (Mindy) Martindill, Sr.; daughters, Mary Ann (Bob) Martindill, Terri (David) Morris, Jerri (Ronald) Eckberg; grandchildren, Alan Spore, Nicole Martindilll, Jason Martindill, Julie Morris, Tiffani (Ryan) Hughes, Ashlie Morris, Brandin (Megan) Eckberg, Justin Morris, Katie (Stephen) Eckberg, Serenity (Paul) Martindill, Kaylee Martindill, Earl Martindill Jr, Katie Hunt, Dylan Wellman, Derick Wellman; sisters, Wanda Clark, Louise Landrum and Faye Grigsby; 22 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family.

Earl will be greatly missed by all of his family and will always be in our hearts. His presence will be irreplaceable.

Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 with Pastor John Lee officiating.  Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 3 to 7 P.M. or on Thursday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.    Interment will take place at Lockwood Cemetery.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
