Dustin Speicher Obituary

Dustin Speicher, 29, passed away August 29, 2020.  He was born July 8, 1991 in Akron and was a 2010 graduate of Green High School.  Dustin was a beloved son, grandson, brother, and most of all a loving and devoted father. From an early age, Dustin enjoyed the game of baseball and played on a travel league, traveling to four different states in attendance by his loving family. In addition, he enjoyed many other outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, hunting, disc golf, and corn hole.  Dustin enjoyed working outdoors so much he pursued a career in horticulture and received his landscape industry certification in horticulture in 2010. Dustin was meticulous when it came to mowing perfectly straight lines.  Dustin was a solid fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. He would proudly wear his Buckeyes jersey in support of the Big-10.

His crooked smile and witty sense of humor never ceased to make others laugh while spending time around a bonfire. His open, honest laugh and ability to make others’ feel welcome was testament to the lives he has touched and the people he has inspired during his life. The bond Dustin shared with his sister Shelby went beyond a mere sibling relationship, they were best friends and truly supported one another all through life.  Most of all, Dustin adored his daughter Aubree Joy. He considered Aubree his princess and would do anything and everything he could for his little girl.

Dustin will be missed by his family and everyone he touched. Gone too soon, but never forgotten.

Dustin was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Speicher, Sr. and Rick Edsall and great grandparents Raymond and Coletta “Tata” Cox.  He is survived by his mom, Michele (Todd) Edsall; dad, John (Shannon Larsen) Speicher, Jr.; sister, Shelby (Anthony) Tyrrell; daughter, Aubree Speicher and her mother, Elizabeth Hawkins; grandparents, Linda “Meme” Speicher, Robert (Paula) Rey and Beverly Rey; aunts, Shannon Rey, Cheryl (Billy) Martin and Coletta (Bill) Dane; uncles, Johnny (Allison) Rey, Danny Rey and Dan (Amanda) Edsall; nieces, Haylee, Emilee and Rylee; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
