David Prahl, 81, passed away July 6, 2021. He was born April 6, 1940 in Akron, OH to the late Lewis and Rose Prahl. He worked in Akron as a machinist at both Goodyear and later at Akron Standard where he retired.
David was a member of Grace and Glory Fellowship in Cuyahoga Falls, where he served on the prayer chain and the needs of the elderly congregation. He was an avid car buff and was affectionately known as “Gearhead”. He loved fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
David was preceded in death by the love of his life, Martha, his wife of 57 years and brother, Jerome Prahl in 2016. He is survived by his sons, Charles, David (Lois) and Phillip Prahl; daughter, Debora (William) Smith; grandchildren, Michael Smith, Jennifer Waddell, Erica (Kevin) Scheutzow, Aaron (Rachel) Prahl, Kyle Prahl, Tera Washabaugh, Candice Eaton, Charles L. Prahl, Timothy Prahl and Nicholas Prahl; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Walt) Wilson.

Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319.
