Dan Sherbine, 64, passed away on March 29, 2023. He was born in Akron on October 26, 1958, and was a graduate of Green High School.
Dan was a devoted family man who always put his loved ones first. He had a wonderful girlfriend Tracy, a daughter, Cheyenne, and two furry friends who he cherished deeply. He also had a close relationship with his mother, siblings, and many nieces and nephews, often going out of his way to help them in any way he could. Whenever you saw Uncle Dan, you just wanted to hug him! We will all remember him as a kind, compassionate man who always had fun, and most memorably would always be sure to tell his loved ones that he “loved you more.”
He loved everything Christmas - lights, classic music, and decorations. He loved tinkering, and took pride in his business, Dan’s A/C. He was fierce about his political views and enjoyed a good debate over politics. There seemed to be no question he couldn’t answer or a problem he couldn’t fix. Dan was an inventor, a self-taught engineer, and a patient teacher. He built and raced Superlite cars for a time, loved boating at Seneca Lake, and snowmobiling with his family in Michigan. His most passionate hobby was literally lighting up the night sky with fireworks. He invested his imagination into epic shows of celebration to bring joy to others.
Besides his dad, Dan was preceded in death by his brother, Andy, and sister, Cindy. He is survived by his loving mother, Rose; daughter, Cheyenne Rees; girlfriend, Tracy Dardenne; siblings, Tammy (Dan) Robinson, Pam Grohosky, and Rose Johnson, well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dan’s passing has left a deep hole in the lives of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was not only Cheyenne’s hero but was all our hero. His legacy will live on through the beautiful displays of fireworks he created, which brought joy and wonder to all who witnessed them.
