Mickey Kinsinger, 92, went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2021. He was born March 19, 1929 in Akron to the late Anthony and Emma Kinsinger.
Mickey lived his life to the fullest lovingly serving his family and friends every day of his life. To him nothing was more important than his strong faith in God, his family and participating at his church. He taught all of us the true meaning of love and dedication to his family; he was the Foundation of our Family and the best father and grandfather we could have ever had. We will never forget the love he expressed through his guidance, teaching and generosity, as well as his quick advice and spirited lectures!
Mickey’s favorite past times were boating, swimming, playing horseshoes, spending time with the horses and treating them to candy that he always had in his pocket, tinkering with small engines and helping family and neighbors fix their lawnmowers. And boy did he play one tough game of euchre. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix with his talent for finding a solution no matter what the challenge, and he passed those skills on to his grandsons. Mickey’s grandchildren always knew he would be there for love, support, laughter and anytime they needed him. He worked with his sons Tony and Ricky when they started their company Creative Innervisions.
Mickey was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish where he participated as a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Holy Name Society, and helped with many fundraisers and other gatherings. He was a dedicated sponsor for Alcoholics Anonymous where he supported and guided so many people that he soon called them friends. He was a driver salesman for DeLuca Distributing Pabst Blue Ribbon for 30 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for six years.
Besides his parents, Mickey was preceded in death by brothers, James, Bernard, Robert and Anthony; sisters, Teresa, Dorothy, Rita and Betty. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Angie; sons, Anthony (Cynthia) and Richard (Margie) Kinsinger; daughters, Joni (Ron) Murgatroyd and Karen (Steve) Kindel; grandchildren, Patrick Kinsinger, Andrea (Ryan) Rockhold, Matthew (Katie) Kinsinger, Brandon and Cory Murgatroyd; and great grandchildren, Eva and Michael.
