Carol A. (Armstrong) Romine

Carol Romine, 75, passed away on September 28, 2023, surrounded by her family.   She was born on June 5, 1948, in Akron, Ohio to the late Harold and Mildred Armstrong. A longtime resident of the city of Green and a 1966 graduate of Green High School, Carol enjoyed many class reunions and get-togethers with lifelong friends throughout the years. She was active in the community and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.  Carol worked and retired from the Matco Tool Company in Stow as a customer service representative for over 30 years, where she gained many invaluable friendships.

A social butterfly at heart, Carol was one who could strike up a conversation with anyone and often did so. Those who knew Carol understood she was a talker and someone who knew everything about everyone! She had an opinion on everything and always got the last word. Forever one to enjoy social get-togethers, Carol loved spending time with friends and family over a good meal. When she was able, she enjoyed traveling to the beach as well as weekend trips around the state, especially to Sugarcreek to explore the many shops and restaurants there. In the summer, Carol could be found poolside on a lounge chair enjoying the sunshine with the radio on. Carol was also an avid reader and enjoyed word searches and coloring while watching Entertainment Tonight for the latest celebrity gossip.

Above all things, Carol loved to be a mother and grandmother. She loved fiercely to a fault but could consistently be counted upon to babysit, be present at her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities, and spoil them rotten during the holidays. Her smile and laughter were infectious, her hugs all-encompassing, and her lively personality made her who she was. She will be greatly missed for all these things and more.

Carol is survived by her sons, Troy (Amy) Taylor, and Todd (Tanya McMullen) Romine; daughter, Tammy (Robert) Trowbridge; brother, Rick Armstrong; sister, Denise (Greg) McCamish; grandchildren, Ryan and Kristen; nieces Kara and Natalie; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

 A Memorial service will be held at 5 P.M. on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Road, Uniontown, Ohio 44685 with Rev. Glenn Rogers, Jr. officiating.  Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 P.M. until the time of the service at the church.
