Carol A. (Ross) Gray

Carol Gray, 80, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2023, surrounded by her family.  She was born February 11, 1942, in Akron to the late George and Martha Ross.  

Carol was a loving mother and grandmother, always providing support and care for her children and grandchildren. She was hard-working, creative, and a very talented seamstress. She spent many hours sewing and designing beautiful quilts and she loved to visit her favorite fabric shops in Sugarcreek. Throughout the years, she also enjoyed outings to Mountaineer Casino and vacationing at the beach. As a hobby, Carol collected Lee Middleton dolls, Fenton Art Glass and she was an avid shopper of the QVC Network.

Carol was loved by her family and left a mark on the lives of many.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Delmas Gray; son, Robert Boyle and sister, Sandra Riffle.  She is survived by her daughters, Debi (PJ) Miletti, Denise (Steve Anello) Lewis, and Jennifer (Scott) Plaufcan; grandchildren, Bobbi Ann (Frank) Hurley, Misty (Buzzy Biddinger) Linn, Lindsey (Colin) Rankin, Andrew Haidnick, Tracey (Eric) Bowman, Tyler (Jeana) Lewis, Abbey (Spencer Pearson) Lewis, and Lucas Plaufcan; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, John Vosburgh; sister Mary Elizabeth (Russ) Sharnsky; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 with a short prayer service following at 7:30 P.M.
