Carrie Fanelly, 64, loving wife, mother and daughter passed away peacefully September 24, 2021 at home with her family at her side.  Carrie “had a good run” with her six year fight with cancer.  Born March 19, 1957 in Akron to Barbara and the late Ezra Banks.  Carrie graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s and master’s degree.  She retired from Dominion Energy (East Ohio Gas) with 34 years of service, a mentor to many, she was proud to see them succeed.  Carrie enjoyed spending time with her dogs and playing golf with the Ohio Prestwick Ladies Group.

Besides her father, Carrie was preceded in death by her sister, Doreen.  She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Dan; son, E. Daniel Fanelly; mother, Barbara Banks.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kathryn Leininger and the nurses at the Hematology/Oncology Department of Akron General in Green for their help with the fight for the last 6 years.
