Bonnie Parks, 81, passed away on March 4, 2023. She was born on July 14, 1941, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to the late Chuck and Lola Davis. Bonnie was a 1959 Green High School graduate and worked at Firestone as the first female in a management position. She retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as an executive secretary. Bonnie shares her birthday with her younger sister, Rhonda, since she was 8 years old and never complained. Bonnie enjoyed drawing, playing softball, skiing, hiking, and boating. She loved to dance and was good enough to win a few dance contests and did some modeling. But most of all, Bonnie loved sitting out on the deck, watching TV with Fred, her children, and her grandchildren.
Bonnie in Scottish means beautiful, and that she was! Both inside and out. Bonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Fred Parks; son Daniel (Margi) Gurley; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Sydney, Taylor (Dustin) Brian (Nicole), Heather (Chris), Brooke, Jacob, and Jamie; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Chuck (Keri), Dale (Debbie) and Dennis (Christy) Davis; sisters, Sharley (Bud) Greer and Rhonda (Gary) Wells; step-children, Denny Parks, Nicky (Dale) Norris and Veronica (Bruce) Hamed; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
