Betty L. (Zufall) Rock

Betty Rock “Aunt Betty”, 98, a lifelong resident of Portage Lakes passed away November 19, 2020.  She was born January 10, 1922, to the late Arthur and Frances Zufall.

Betty never met a stranger.  She welcomed everyone with open arms and a full heart of love and joy.  Friends were like family to her, and she treated them so. Betty would say that her purpose in life was to make people happy. She will forever shine her bright light down on us, encouraging us to make each person we meet smile and feel welcome.  There are a great number of friends and family who share this loss, as Betty touched many lives.

Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Rock; son, Tom Lassen; brother, Johnny (Betty June) Zufall and sisters, Mary (Bud) Miller, Caroline (Ed) Lundrigan and Florence (Jack) Barensfeld.  She is survived by her daughters, Sondra (Art) Cornett, Pamela (Scott) Mitchell and Patricia (Doug) Hull; grandchildren, David, Dana, Dawn, Dayle, Dan, Dara, Dean, Doug, Vicki, Tracey, Nick, Melissa, Maria, Michelle, Kory and Logan; 29 great grandchildren, 27 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves her friends at The Gables of Green; special friends, Janet Shilts, Merilyn Lewis and Cindy Dunn; long time dear friend, Loretta Rufener; as well as the staff at The Gables of Green and Homestead Hospice who provided loving care and friendship.

Because of Betty’s love of the Portage Lakes, and her many years volunteering for Reach to Recovery, a branch of the American Cancer Society, please consider a contribution in her memory.
