Bernard J. "Bernie" Adams

Bernie Adams, 88, of Green passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 23, 2023. He was born May 22, 1934, in St. Augustine, Pennsylvania to the late Ned and Clementine Adams. Bernie worked for over 30 years as an Electronic Technician at the Akron Canton Airport.

Besides his parents, Bernie was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Leona.  He is survived by sons, Chris, Russ (Wendy), and Roger Adams; daughter, Sherry (Rick) Calhoun; six wonderful grandchildren, Adam (Michaela), Kyle (Taran), and Cody Calhoun, Alana (Jeremy) Wootan, Hailey, and Taylor Adams; 6 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Florence Nagle and Nancy (Jim) Dixon.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.  Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.  Interment will be at East Liberty Cemetery.
