Alice Faye (Hendrixson) French

Alice French, 74, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving husband Duane and their family.  She was born on December 19, 1949, to the late Jay and Algie Hendrixson in Akron where she lived most of her life.  Alice also spent time helping her parents run their hotel and restaurant in Huntsville, Alabama. 
 

Alice had a smile that would light up a room.  Her kind heart and generosity made everyone love her. She loved to cheer on “her teams”, Cavs, Browns, and Guardians.  Alice also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and various national parks with her husband. She loved doting on her beloved pup, Gizmo.    
 

Along with her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy, and brother, Wayne.  She is survived by her husband, Duane French; sons, John (Brenda) and Ron (Kelly) Schultz; grandchildren, Nikki, Heather, and Jackson Schultz; sister-in-law, Gara (Jim) Jones; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
 

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E.
