Louise Pigott, 87, passed away May 13, 2017.  She was born August 25, 1929 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Kertly and Adeline Burton.  Alongside her husband, Louise owned and operated Pigott Industries.  She continued to run the family business after Bill’s passing until her retirement in 2009.  Louise enjoyed gambling and had a “Golden Touch” when it came to the poker machines.  She loved to travel to Las Vegas with her family as well as Jack and Hard Rock Casino’s.  Louise was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well as friend.  She was always there to help someone out and thought of others before she thought of herself.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, William G.D. Pigott; brother, Kertley Burton and great grandson, William Monarko.  She is survived by her son, William (Debra) Pigott; daughters, Theresa Pigott-Walker, Pamela (George) Wetzel and Gail (Alan) Scott; grandchildren, April (Ty) Conway, Stacey (Jesse) Smith, Matthew Scott and Kelsey Wetzel; step-grandchildren Jennifer (Eldon) Wyatt and Shannon (Brock) Draher; great grandchildren, Brandon Monarko, Kaleb and Christopher Conway, Osborn and Violet Smith; step-great grandchildren, Ashley (Jacob) Barnhart, Cody and Cory Wyatt, Olivia and Lucas Draher; great great grandson Landon Monarko; step-great great grandchildren, Lauren and Jacob Barnhart; brother, William (Jackie) Burton; sister Marlene (Charles) Isom as well as many other loving family and friends.     

Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319 (SR619).  A private family service will be held at a later date.  Entombment will be at Hillside Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made in Louise’s name to The Salvation Army of Summit County, 190 South Maple Street, Akron, Ohio 44302-1603.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at
