Pearl E. Hawkins

Pearl Hawkins, 78, passed away July 3, 2017.  She was born June 24, 1939 in Grafton, West Virginia.  Pearl retired from National Iron and Metal.  During her retirement she enjoyed working in her flower beds at home, taking her Pomeranian (Shiloh) on walks in the park, and fishing at Lake Erie with Jack. She enjoyed going to their other home in Melbourne, Florida when it was time for them to be snowbirds.  She enjoyed bingo wherever she was.

Pearl was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack, just 3 months ago.  She is survived by her son, Zeke (Kim) Ferguson; her sister, Virginia Hawkinberry; 6 grandchildren, 2 great- grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Per Pearl’s wishes cremation has taken place and a gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 to 4 P.M. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319.  Memorial contributions may be made in Pearl’s name to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 70 W.
