Nancy C. (Smith) Bright

Nancy Bright, 76, of Manchester passed away November 5, 2018, surrounded by her loving family after her courageous battle with cancer.  Nancy was born in Akron to the late James M. and Wanda V. Smith.  Nancy was a graduate of Coventry High School and attended Jackson Friends Church. Nancy grew up on the Portage Lakes and enjoyed kayaking, boating, fishing and water skiing.  She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, and attending her grandchildren’s activities.  Nancy had a large group of dear friends and was part of a ladies Euchre card club for over 50 years.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.     

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Dennis Bright; sons, David (Susan) Brown and Jeff Brown; grandchildren, Nathan and Olivia Brown; brother, James Smith; sister, Pat (Lincoln) Protich; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the staff of Summa Home Health Hospice for the love and care they gave to Nancy.

A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd.
