Michael David Carr

Michael Carr, 62, of Akron passed away January 31, 2019.  He was born in Akron May 14, 1956 to the late Forrest and Mary Carr.  He was a 1975 graduate of Springfield High School.  Michael worked for many years as an independent long-distance truck driver.  He had a love for Harley Davidson and enjoyed spending time on his bike. 

Michael is survived by his brother, Larry; children, Jessie and Brandi; two grandchildren; caregiver and friend, Myelica; and step-grandchildren, Gauge and Christina; as well as many other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319 with Pastor Dallas Billington officiating.  Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at East Liberty Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made in Michael’s name to City Church AC, 3000 Krebs Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
