Kodie Lee Chapman

Kodie Chapman, 23, of Green passed away June 10, 2017 after an unexpected ATV accident.  He was born November 22, 1993 in Akron to Leslie and Tammy Chapman.  Kodie was a 2012 graduate of Green High School-PLCC Electrical Technology Program.  He was employed with Custom Craft Controls as an electrician.  Kodie was an avid outdoorsman, loved his truck, but most of all loved his family and friends. 

Kodie was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Baker and George Chapman.  Besides his parents he is survived by his high school sweetheart, Ciara Lynn Jarvis; brother, Kevin Chapman; grandmothers, Marge Baker and Jennine Chapman; aunt, Tanya (Scott) Horning; cousins, Brooke and Josh Horning; Ciara’s family, Randal (Krista) Jarvis and Chelsie (T.J.) Patterson, Jeff (Linda) Jarvis; as well as many other loving family and friends.   

Memorial service will be held at 6 P.M. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. (SR619), Akron, Ohio 44319.  Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at East Liberty Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kodie Chapman c/o Huntington Bank, 6020 Manchester Road, New Franklin, Ohio 44319.  To leave a special message online for the family, visit our website at www.schermesserfh.com.
